IN THE THICKETS OF SEX (II)

People who go through certain experiences come out being the best teacher fit to teach such experiences to others; hence the popular saying " experience is the best teacher". At the same time, certain experiences do not leave the person who underwent them in good shape. The fortunate ones live to tell the story and that goes a long way. The less fortunate ones also share their story in a way too. It's just that their story makes Biography and not an Autobiography;  and you know biographies can be easily manipulated - after all the personality behind the making of the story has exchanged his life for his story. Hmmm! That looks like a stream of thought I wouldn't want to stop, but I choose to stop so we can go for the heart of the matter for this post.

   Yesterday our guest narratred how her identity was mistook for a sex toy by the male figures around her. Let us hear some more from her;
  "...all these experiences left an anchor in my mind. By anchor, I mean a permamnenet form of memory attached to a meaning which can be  or negative. So, the molestation amd exposures became an anchor for me. One day after being bored by the usual CDs in the living room, I stumbled  some CDs in my uncle's room which I went straight to watch out of curiosity. I was surprised to see naked people having sex on the screen. At this point my interest grew that I began to search frantically to lay my hands on any other " blue film" CD I could find. So at the age of 11 and 12, I had become so sexually exposed and active but I wasn't havi7ng sex..."
Wow! The fire has been set already and it's really burning hard. This might be the experience of someone reading this post. It is such an experience that "leaves an anchor in one's mind" - as the narrator puts it.

GUESS WHAT...

The Elegy of an Ex-Virgin  II

Life operates on causes and effects, so I heard
Now how do I reap an effect to which cause is unknown?
Paul planted, Apollos watered...
My father planted, my momma watered...
Why should unruly men reap the increase?

Watch out as we continue on our next post...
Share your perspectives about the poem please.
